While the summer sun shines, the palatial grounds of Longwood Gardens offer up glorious views of the natural world — acres filled with flowers, trees and grasses galore.
The chance to see stunning sights at Kennett Square’s Longwood will continue after dark, too, with the launch of the immersive after-dark-only installation Nightscape: A Light and Sound Experience.
Opening July 1, Nightscape will activate the garden at night with moving images and lights choreographed to music in eight areas of the garden including the Rose Arbor, Large Lake, Flower Garden Walk, Topiary Garden, and the grand Conservatory.
Created by Philadelphia’s own Klip Collective, guests can expect a high-quality experience for Klip’s first garden-wide installation — the group of pros has created amazing large-scale visual installations for the likes of the Philadelphia Flower Show, Central Park Conservancy and Sundance Film Festival.
To complete the nighttime experience, Longwood will also host a wide array of special events during Nightscape, including the addition of a brand new beer garden. The installation will be on view through October 31, 2015.
